Team Joyride Groms

Phil Vega - Tuesday, October 06, 2009
Meet the Groms.  These kids definitely took up the slack for the team this season as the adults on the team were bogged down with work and daily distractions.  They filled the podium at just about every event they hit over the summer.

These guys spend countless hours at the Idaho Velopark, honing their riding skills (which have increased exponentially by the way), and building and maintaining the park trails.  The park has been a huge factor in the accelerated advancement of their riding skills.  The park is constantly evolving and getting better with each new trail these guys design and construct.

We owe them and their parents big thanks for rocking our jerseys and for the support they have given us!  And, we look forward to riding with you next season.

Mike Sherman, of Boise's "Team Green",  sent over this sweet clip from the Park City Point 2 Point race.
Looks like it was an awesome time.  Thanks, Mike!

Velo Park Sessions Video by Joe Pynchon

Phil Vega - Monday, June 15, 2009
This great video was shot and produced by local rider, Joe Pynchon.  It features riders and racing from the Idaho Velodrome and Cycling Park.  Most of the riders are under 16 years old, I'm simply astounded by their progression with each visit I make to the park.  These kids are the future of the sport!  The final footage captures the racing action from the first ever, Ride On event, June 13th.  Joe's brother and Team Joyride racer, Dallas Pynchon, took first place in his class.  The Pro Main (the only clips of riders who look to be adults), was Carl Marcum, Art Widmar, and Zane Patterson, they are all part of Team Joyride.  Carl took the Gold with Art chomping at his heels to take second.  Zane rounded out the top three.  Congrats to all the riders!  Joe, geat video!  We look forward to the next one.
