BAMBA NEEDS YOU!

BAMBA (Boise Area Mountain Bike Association) began to form in the Fall of 2010 as a group of concerned citizens/bike riders from an eclectic background wanting to maintain and improve the trail system located at the Eagle Bike Park within the Eagle Sports Complex. It did not take long for the group to realize they needed to have the status of a “non-profit” organization, and, therefore, it was an easy choice to associate with IMBA (International Mountain Bike Association). In March 2011 BAMBA was officially formed and became an IMBA chapter.

BAMBA’s current purpose is to promote the use and maintenance of the current trail system at the Eagle Bike Park; including the multi-use/cross country trails, pump track, dirt jump area, down-hill trails, and free ride features. In order to promote its purpose BAMBA will work with local government officials to organize trail maintenance work, improve the current trails, and look for opportunities for future developments. BAMBA will also promote the use of the trail system by supporting groups from all disciplines to participate in clinics, time trials, and races.

When you join BAMBA, 40% of your membership dues remain in the local chapter.  This money is used to purchase an insurance policy that covers the organization as its members volunteer building and maintaining trails.  The insurance policy also covers the association as its members participate in time trials managed by BAMBA.  If patrons of the park want to provide additional support to the association, they can donate using the Paypal link (Donate button on sidebar), and 100% of those donations remain with the local chapter.
